Over 10,000 Homes Fitted. Started Before The Law Changed.
We started fitting wireless interlinked smoke alarms before it was mandatory in February 2022. When everyone scrambled to figure out what they needed, we’d already done it hundreds of times.
Professional install. Official certificate. Five-year guarantee. Done in under an hour.

While we're in, we'll show you something nobody else does.
Every home in Scotland is holding water in the air. Cooking, showers, drying washing on the radiators, breathing. It's normal. What isn't normal is how much some houses are holding and almost nobody knows their own number.
So while we're fitting your alarms, we take a reading in every room and build you a Moisture Map:
- How many litres of water are floating in your air right now. Not a percentage. Litres. It usually surprises people.
- Which room is worst, and it's rarely the one people assume.
- Whether it's coming from how the house is being lived in, or from the building itself. Two completely different problems, two completely different fixes, and getting them the wrong way round costs people thousands.
- What to actually do about it, in plain English, starting with the free stuff.
It takes a few extra minutes, and it costs you nothing on top. We've not found another company in Scotland handing this to a customer.
It's a set of readings and what they mean, not a damp survey, and we're not surveyors. We don't sell damp-proofing either, so we've no reason to find a problem that isn't there. If your readings point at something structural, we'll tell you straight and tell you who to ring.
The one your alarm won't tell you about
A carbon monoxide alarm is not a meter. It's built to stay silent until the level in your home is high enough to be an emergency, around fifty parts per million. Below that, it says nothing, for years.
The trouble is that long spells at levels well under that can leave people with headaches, sickness, tiredness and broken sleep. It gets put down to a bug that won't shift, or a cold house, or getting older.
So while we're in, we take a Silent Gas Check, we measure what's actually in the air in the rooms with a boiler, fire or cooker, and we tell you the number.
Most homes read zero, and you get to stop wondering. If yours doesn't, you get the number in writing and we tell you to ring a Gas Safe registered engineer.
To be straight with you: we're alarm fitters, not gas engineers. We don't touch your appliances and we're not allowed to. Only a Gas Safe registered engineer can look at those. We measure, we tell you what we found, and we've nothing to sell you either way.
Here’s what you get:
Wireless Interlinked System. When one goes off, they all go off. Your whole family hears it no matter what room they’re in. That’s what the law requires.
Compliance Certificate. Written proof that Safe Hands completed the install correctly.
£365 Flats | £395 Homes. That’s it. All-in. Ten-year sealed alarms, professional install, five-year guarantee where we come back if anything fails.
